Very Well Made, Easy to Install

First, the ordering process was smooth, confirmation of the order quick and delivery equally as quick. I was pleasantly surprised that the mount was all high quality metal with the only plastic used for the the adjustment knobs. If you can keep the parts together (extra screws namely) this is a mount you should be able to move to the next car and next car and next car you purchase. It's very durable.
Do note that installation requires the included wrench so the device is not "portable" per se, there is no "quick release" and it does require the bracket from your existing radar detector (something that I didn't expect as it seemed specifically branded for the Cobra XRS, on the other hand this fact makes the mount pretty much universal) so if you don't have your original window mount you'll need to find it or order a new one.
Installation was easy. First you remove any suction cups, etc. from your existing window mount, using the two screws provided and the wrench you attach the formerly window mount to the new rear-view mirror mount. Then, 2 long bars with a serrated cut out half moon slips over the top of the wide rear view mirror tube, then two knurled screws are tightened by hand (2 lengths are provided to accommodate thicker tubes) and then tightened further by the included wrench.
Then all that's left to do is slide the detector onto the bracket and adjust the position using the 2 knobs to secure the final position of the detector. Once it's installed you can't really even see the mount (behind the rear view mirror) and it looks like the radar detector just belongs there under the mirror like it should have always been.
If you do move your detector around to multiple cars, I would suggest getting another suction cup bracket, that way in your full time car you have the semi-permanent rear view mirror mount but also the portable window mount for other vehicles.
I couldn't be happier with the transaction, the quality and utility of the mount.

Product is as Advertized, it works perfectly , only thing I thought was a bit of a cheat was you needed to have your original Bracket (clip) from your original mounting kit that came with your detector. I would have thought it would have came with one. Installation was very easy, I needed extra long bolts included with the kit because I have U-Connect system on my mirror and its a little thicker then most mirror mounts. I would have hoped it came with more of a "C-Clamp" to hold it to the mirror post this way it would be easy to remove/move to other vehicles, But its sturdy and well made.
I would suggest anyone that is going to install this you might want to purchase a direct wiring kit as well since your making it a Fixture in your car/truck you might as well free up the ligther socket and make it look completely professional install.
It would have been nice to have a instruction sheet for quick install instead of having to watch a quick video on u-tube , but the video was easy to follow and quick anyway.

I am enjoying having this gadget as much for all of its ancillary uses with my iPhone as for actual radar detection.
